The T-PEI project

Teaching parents emotional intelligence

Emotional Intelligence is a wide range of skills and abilities that children can develop and improve. It taps into a fundamental element of human behaviour that is distinct from cognitive intelligence (IQ). Although some children or adults are naturally more emotionally intelligent than others, one can develop high emotional intelligence even if was not born with it.

The main project’s output will:

  • Develop relevant tools (training programme) for empowering parents with new skills required by our challenging societies.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative e-learning content that will provide long term support for parents in early education.
  • Facilitate the development of innovative practices in adult education and innovative approached to inter-generational and family learning.
  • Share experience and good practice achieved through the development of the outputs, at national, regional and European level.
